Background: There is some evidence that perinatal anxiety (PNA) is associated with lower rates of infant vaccinations and decreased access to preventative infant healthcare, but results across studies have not been conclusive.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between maternal PNA and infant primary care use.

Methods: Cohort study of mother-infant pairs identified between 1998 and 2016 using IQVIA Medical Research Database (IMRD).

Importance: There is some evidence that men may be at higher risk of depression directly following the birth of their child and that approximately 1 in 10 men will experience depression in the year after birth, but less is known about men's antidepressant treatment during this time. Likewise, few direct comparisons have been made with antidepressant treatment in men who have not recently become fathers.

Objectives: To determine whether recently having a child was associated with increased odds of antidepressant treatment in men.

To examine the relationship between maternal postnatal depression and completion of infant vaccinations. We conducted a cohort study using data from The Health Improvement Network (THIN), a large UK primary care electronic health record database. We identified 196,329 mother-infant pairs in which the infant was born between 2006 and 2015.

Background: Streptococcus pneumoniae is an intermittent commensal organism in the nasopharynx. Colonisation is a prerequisite for disease and malnourished children are especially susceptible to severe infection. This systematic review examines published prevalence rates of pneumococcal colonisation in the upper respiratory tract of chronically malnourished children <5 y of age.

As delphinid populations become increasingly exposed to human activities we rely on our capacity to produce accurate abundance estimates upon which to base management decisions. This study applied mark-recapture methods following the Robust Design to estimate abundance, demographic parameters, and temporary emigration rates of an Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops aduncus) population off Bunbury, Western Australia. Boat-based photo-identification surveys were conducted year-round over three consecutive years along pre-determined transect lines to create a consistent sampling effort throughout the study period and area.

Objective: The quantitative capability of a positron emission tomography scanner for small animal imaging was evaluated in this study.

Methods: The microPET P4 (Concorde Microsystems, Knoxville, TN) scanner's capability for dynamic imaging and corrections for radioactive decay, dead time, and attenuation were evaluated. Rat brain and heart studies with and without attenuation correction were compared.
