To enhance sustainability and resilience against climate change in infrastructure, a quantitative evaluation of both environmental impact and cost is important within a life cycle framework. Climate change effects can lead performance deterioration in bridge components during their operational phase, highlighting the necessity for a risk-based evaluation process aligned with maintenance strategies. This study employs a two-phase life cycle assessments (LCA) framework.

The rhodamine-signaling operation enabled us to design a highly sequence-selective fluorescent sensor that can detect as little as 500 pM of the target nucleic acid in 90 min or to present a rhodamine antibody that can be further applied to immunoassays.

To ensure the safety of the cable-stayed bridges, several studies have estimated the cable tension force using the vibration of cables. Most of these methods for estimating the tension of a cable start with measuring the displacement of the cable.

We fabricated the PCF coupler by mating two side-polished PCFs. We achieved evanescent field coupling between the core modes of the two PCFs by using side polishing to bring the cores close to each other.
