STOP-CA was a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial comparing atorvastatin to placebo in treatment-naïve lymphoma patients receiving anthracycline-based chemotherapy. We performed a preplanned subgroup to analyze the impact of atorvastatin on efficacy in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Patients received rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) at standard doses for six 21-day cycles and were randomly assigned to receive atorvastatin 40 mg daily ( = 55) or placebo ( = 47) for 12 months.

In this study, through free energy calculation in molecular simulations, we systematically compared the tendencies of H and CO molecules to aggregate within hydrated hydrophobic pyrophyllite and hydrophilic gibbsite nanopores.

Membrane insertion requires phosphatidylglycerol, so studies of daptomycin can provide insight into assembly and maintenance of the cytoplasmic membrane.

The purpose of this study was to develop an in vitro release testing (IVRT) strategy to predict the pre-clinical performance of single agent and combination long acting injectable (LAI) suspension products. Two accelerated IVRT methods were developed using USP apparatus 2 to characterize initial, intermediate, and terminal phases of drug release. Initial and intermediate phases were captured using a suspension cup with moderate agitation to ensure a constant, low surface area exposure of the LAI suspension to the release media.

This study analyzed the impact of educational, perception, and attitudinal factors on the plastic waste behavior of high school students in Vietnam. A cross-sectional research design and questionnaire survey method were used to collect data from 573 high school students. All the statistical analyses and hypothesis tests were performed using SPSS 26 and AmoS 20 software.

Barriers to and facilitators of user engagement with web-based mental health interventions in young people: a systematic review.

Many young people (YP) are diagnosed with mental illnesses and require support. Web-based mental health interventions (W-MHIs) have been increasingly utilized by YP, healthcare providers, and parents due to reasons including convenience and anonymity. W-MHIs are effective in improving mental health in YP.

Objectives: To describe the approach used by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, HOPE Clinic, and Asian American organizations to understand and engage Houston's Asian American communities in cancer research, as well as to share lessons learned.

Methods: The community-academic-medical partnership used community-based research principles to build the partnership, form the community advisory board, conduct a community needs assessment, and offer cancer prevention engagement and education.

Rubus yellow net virus (RYNV) belongs to genus Badnavirus. Badnaviruses are found in plants as endogenous, inactive or activatable sequences, and/or in episomal (infectious and active) forms. To assess the state of RYNV in Rubus germplasm, we sequenced the genomes of various cultivars and mined eight raspberry whole genome datasets.

Synthesis of 2-benzyl benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles elemental sulfur promoted cyclization of styrenes with 2-nitrophenols and ,-dialkyl-3-nitroanilines.

Herein we report a method for affording 2-benzyl benzoxazoles from substituted styrenes and 2-nitrophenols. The success of this method relies on the use of simple reagents, namely elemental sulfur and DABCO. A combination of identical reagents was utilized for the annulation of styrenes with ,-dialkyl-3-nitroanilines to afford 2-benzyl benzothiazoles.

Embryological and clinical outcomes in couples with severe male factor infertility versus normozoospermia.

Objective: This study evaluated embryological and clinical outcomes in couples with severe male factor infertility versus those with normozoospermia undergoing ICSI and in vitro fertilisation.

Methods: This multicentre, retrospective cohort study included all couples who had undergone autologous ICSI cycles at My Duc Hospital and My Duc Phu Nhuan Hospital in Vietnam between January 2018 and January 2021 (female age < 35 years and males with severe male factor or normozoospermia based on the World Health Organization 2010 criteria). The primary outcome was the cumulative live birth rate after the first ICSI cycle.
