Purpose: To describe nursing students' experience of sexual harassment during clinical practicum.

Methods: An interpretive phenomenological qualitative approach was used to understand contextual experiences of participants. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted to collect data from thirteen nursing students who experienced sexual harassment during clinical practice in general hospitals at D metropolitan city.

Despite a growing body of research regarding the health-promoting schools (HPS) concept from the World Health Organization (WHO), research on measuring of the HPS is limited. This study aims to develop a scale for assessing the status of the HPS based on the WHO guidelines and to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale. After completing the translation and back-translation process, the content validity of the 50-item scale for HPS (SHPS) was assessed by an expert committee review and pretested with 17 teachers.

  • Results indicated that those receiving both interventions showed better activity, gown wearers reported more comfort and less lymphoedema, and educational participants gained more knowledge, supporting the combined intervention for improved recovery post-mastectomy.

Purpose: To determine whether the Papilla Gown designed specifically to meet the needs of postmastectomy patients with a closed drainage system in place is more comfortable than is a typical hospital gown.

Background: The closed wound drainage system used for breast cancer patients immediately following mastectomy requires external drainage tubes that connect to a pouch. The pins that are usually used to attach the drains to a patient's gown create problems.

Community health nursing in Korea has undergone dramatic changes since 1980. These changes arose through the efforts of Mo Im Kim, an internationally known leader in Korean nursing, and colleagues who successfully worked to establish a national community health nurse practitioner program. This article will review these changes with the aim of describing the evolutionary process that culminated in a community health care system that is meeting the needs of Korean citizens who live in rural and isolated areas.
