The survival of patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) can be affected not only by progression of the original cancer or occurrence of a second cancer but also by noncancer health event (NCHE). In this study, we evaluated the prognostic significance of early NCHEs in HNSCC patients after definitive radiotherapy (RT) or chemoradiotherapy (CRT).The prospective study cohort comprised 190 HNSCC patients who underwent definitive RT (n = 75) or CRT (n = 115).

Methods: The medical records of patients with HNSCC who underwent definitive treatment between 2006 and 2011 were reviewed.
Conclusion: As tools of confirmation of sensorineural hearing loss in neonates who are 'referred' from a newborn hearing screening program, both ASSR and DPOAE have high sensitivity and specificity. In addition, ASSR can be used as a substitute for ABR.
Objectives: To analyze the confirmative audiological results of patients referred from a newborn hearing screening program.
Purpose: To evaluate the technical feasibility of a covered, retrievable, barbed prostatic stent and to determine stent-induced histologic changes of the prostate in canine benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Materials And Methods: BPH was induced in 8 male beagles by administration of dihydrotestosterone and beta-estradiol. Under fluoroscopy guidance, covered, retrievable, barbed stents were placed in the prostatic urethras.
