Family perspectives on and experiences with advance care planning in nursing homes: A thematic synthesis.

Objectives: To synthesize family members' experiences and perspectives on advance care planning (ACP) in nursing homes.

Methods: The thematic synthesis is reported following the Enhancing Transparency in Reporting the Synthesis of Qualitative Research (ENTREQ) statement. A systematic search of the APA PsycINFO, CINAHL Plus, Embase and PubMed databases is initially conducted in October 2022, and the search is updated in January 2024.
