We aimed to evaluate the impact of short-term tinnitus treatment on cognitive function and identify the effects of various treatment combinations on cognitive and tinnitus outcomes. A non-randomized prospective study was conducted with 32 tinnitus patients at a tertiary university hospital between May 2022 and May 2024. Patients received treatments, including neuromodulation, diuretics, gabapentin, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), anxiolytics, muscle relaxants, hearing aids, and counseling.

Risk factors for iliac limb migration after endovascular infrarenal aortic repair.

This study investigated anatomical and procedural factors influencing iliac limb migration and its correlation with late type 1b and type 3 endoleaks. We analyzed data of 141 iliac limbs from 91 patients who underwent endovascular aneurysm repair for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm between 2005 and 2017. Iliac limb migration was measured using initial and follow-up computed tomography angiography scans conducted at least three years post-procedure, with significant migration defined as a change of ≥ 5 mm.

Background/aim: Log data from radiation treatment machines can play a crucial role in quality assurance by enabling the recalculation of the delivered dose distribution and identification of deviations in treatment delivery. This article proposes a novel method for recalculating the delivered dose distribution in carbon-ion radiation therapy using log data.

Materials And Methods: The proposed approach leverages existing functionality in commercial treatment planning systems, thus eliminating the need for specialized in-house software for dose calculation and evaluation.

Consensus Statements on Tinnitus Assessment and Treatment Outcome Evaluation: A Delphi Study by the Korean Tinnitus Study Group.

Background: Tinnitus is a multifactorial condition with no universally accepted assessment guidelines. The Korean Tinnitus Study Group previously established consensus statements on the definition, classification, and diagnostic tests for tinnitus. As a continuation of this effort, this study aims to establish expert consensus on tinnitus assessment and treatment outcome evaluation, specifically tailored to the Korean clinical context.

Background: Predicting radiation dermatitis (RD), a common radiotherapy toxicity, is essential for clinical decision-making regarding toxicity management. This prospective study aimed to develop and validate a machine-learning model to predict the occurrence of grade ≥ 2 RD using thermal imaging in the early stages of radiotherapy in head and neck cancer.

Impact of bra application in breast cancer radiotherapy: A pilot prospective randomized trial.

Purpose: This prospective, randomized clinical trial evaluated the effects of bra-wearing during radiotherapy on breast-shape reproducibility, dosimetry, and treatment toxicities in patients with breast cancer.

Methods: Thirty-eight patients with breast cancer who underwent breast-conserving surgery were randomly assigned to bra-wearing or non-wearing groups during radiotherapy. Breast-shape reproducibility was assessed using daily cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).
