Objective: Aim: Using morphometric methods to study the features of endotheliocyte remodeling of the arterial and venous beds of the testicles during long-term ethanol intoxication.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Endotheliocytes of the arterial and venous bed of the left and right testes of 60 white male rats, which were divided into two groups, were morphologically studied. The 1 group consisted of 30 intact animals, the 2 - 30 rats, which were daily intragastrically injected with a 30 % ethanol solution at the rate of 2 ml per 100 g of the animal's weight for 28 days.

Unlabelled: Hematopoiesis is a tightly regulated process that gets skewed toward myelopoiesis. This restrains lymphopoiesis, but the role of lymphocytes in this process is not well defined. To unravel the intricacies of neutrophil responses in COVID-19, we performed bulk RNAseq on neutrophils from healthy controls and COVID-19 patients.

Objective: Aim: To find out the age remodeling of the structural components of the prostate gland at alcohol poisoning using quantitative morphological analysis.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: The structure of the prostate gland of 4 white male rats groups were morphologically investigated. The 1 group included 30 control intact animals aged 8 months, the 2-nd group - 30 rats aged 24 months, the 3-rd group - 30 8-month-old animals with ethanol intoxication, and the 4-th group included 30 24-month-old rats with the specified simulated pathology.

Objective: Aim: Using quantitative morphological methods to study the peculiarities of the structural reconstruction of the venous bad of the prostate at the conditions of post-resection portal hypertension.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Morphologically, the venous bed of the prostate of 15 intact white rats, 30 animals with post-resection portal hypertension, 17 rats with a combination of post-resection portal hypertension with hepatargia, enteral, cardiac, and renal insufficiency was studied. Rats were slaughtered one month after the start of the experiment by bloodletting under general thiopental anesthesia.

The treatment patterns for patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) were compared between 2013 and 16 and 2021-22 in a real-world setting. A significantly higher proportion of patients age 70 and over received non-intensive therapy (NIT) in 2021-22 as compared with 2013-16 (65 % vs 44 %, p = 0.014), with a corresponding reduction in the proportion receiving either intensive therapy or no antileukemic treatment.

Background: CD8 T cells play an essential role against tumors but the role of human CD8CD26 T cell subset against tumors, in particular, haematological cancers such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) remains unknown. Although CD4CD26 T cells are considered for adoptive cancer immunotherapy, the role of CD8CD26 T cells is ill-defined. Therefore, further studies are required to better determine the role of CD8CD26 T cells in solid tumors and haematological cancers.

Objectives: The effects of switching Canadians from other basal insulins to degludec (IDeg) in an outpatient setting are unknown. Our aim in this study was to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of switching insulin-treated adults with either type 1 (T1DM) or type 2 (T2DM) diabetes mellitus to IDeg.

Methods: This was a retrospective observational cohort study of Albertans who were switched to IDeg between December 1, 2018, and December 1, 2019, and followed until March 1, 2020.

Laboratory and experimental scale manufacturing processes are limited by human error (e.g., poor control over motion and personal subjectivity), especially under fatiguing conditions involving precise, repetitive operations, incurring compounding errors.

Background: T cell exhaustion compromises antitumor immunity, and a sustained elevation of co-inhibitory receptors is a hallmark of T cell exhaustion in solid tumors. Similarly, upregulation of co-inhibitory receptors has been reported in T cells in hematological cancers such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). However, the role of CD160, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored protein, as one of these co-inhibitory receptors has been contradictory in T cell function.

Genetic counseling assistants (GCAs) have the potential to address the high demand for genetic counselors by promoting task-sharing, increasing genetic counselor efficiency, and allowing for higher level duties to be optimized by genetic counselors. However, little research has been published on the role of GCAs. This study explored current tasks of GCAs in the United States, the appropriateness of those tasks, the perceived impact on the profession, and how these findings compared between genetic counselors with and without GCAs.

The ileum was morphologically examined in 45 sexually mature white male rats, which were divided into 3 groups: I group included 15 intact animals, II - 15 rats, in which 31.5% of the liver parenchyma was removed, III - 15 animals after resection 58,1% of liver parenchyma. Euthanasia of rats was performed by bloodletting under the conditions of thiopental anesthesia 1 month after the beginning of the experiment.

Background: Frontoethmoidal encephalocele is a congenital abnormality of the anterior skull base involving herniation of cranial contents through a midline skull defect. Patency of the foramen cecum, along with other multifactorial variables, contributes to the development of frontoethmoidal encephaloceles. Because of limited resources, financial constraints, and lack of surgical expertise, repair of frontoethmoidal encephaloceles is limited in developing countries.

The local immune homeostasis changed of the colon play a significant role in the pathogenesis of toxic colitis, induced by lead acetate. Chronic toxic colitis is accompanied by a considerable redistribution of plasmocytes-producers of the main immunoglobulins classes in the colon walls towards a primary IgA producers increase, a correlation between them and the local immune reactions tension and destabilization as well. Enterosorbent SCNP-2 influence on a pathological process in the colon under the chronic lead intoxication results in the local immune reactions improvement in the studied organ, its functional and structural elements impairment rate reduction as well as their adaptive properties increase.

Among the investigated 27 gallbladders (GB) using immunofluorescent and histological methods 9 were nonaffected, 7--excised for an acute calculous cholecystitis and 11--for the destructive one. It was established, that the plasmocytes, producing immunoglobulins of main classes, play an important role in the immune defense of the GB mucosa. The stress and hyperfunctioning of the local immune homeostasis mechanisms were revealed in the acute calculous cholecystitis; in the destructive one--the local immune defense disorder, showing the essential lowering of the secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA) level and the immunocytes-producers IgA quantity, the ratio between plasmocytes and immune complexes, which appear in the vessels wall and perivasal stroma of GB.

By means of ultrastructural and morphometrical methods hearts of 15 white rats have been studied during adaptation to the physical static load. This exercise induced the adaptive changes of the myocardium: hypertrophy and dilatation of the heart chambers. Hypertrophy of the myocardial parts takes place mainly at the expense of increasing of the length and width of cardiomyocytes.
