Papillary thyroid carcinoma within struma ovarii: a case report and literature review.

Struma ovarii (SO) is a rare ovarian teratoma mostly made of thyroid tissue, with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) being even rarer. This report presents a 50-year-old woman with PTC in SO and a normal thyroid. A left ovarian cyst was detected by ultrasound and confirmed by MRI.

Ethnic diversity and urolithiasis: a single-center experience.

Efficacy of flexible ureterorenoscopy in treating multiple renal stones: a cohort study.

Introduction: While the efficacy of flexible ureterorenoscopy (URS) in managing solitary kidney stones (KSs) is widely acknowledged, its effectiveness in treating multiple stones has scarcely been investigated. This study aims to assess the effectiveness and safety of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) utilizing flexible URS and laser lithotripsy in the management of multiple KSs.  Methods: This study was a single-group cohort study conducted on patients with multiple KSs who underwent treatment with RIRS using flexible URS and laser lithotripsy.

Teratomas, which are the most prevalent tumors in infants, may manifest in mature, immature, or malignant forms. While mature teratomas are typically found in the abdomen, intratesticular prepubertal-type teratomas in infants are infrequent.

The clinical manifestations and treatment outcomes of Behçet's disease: A single-center experience.

Background And Aims: Behçet's disease is a chronic, multisystemic, and relapsing inflammatory disorder. It lacks a permanent cure, the focus of treatment is on mitigating symptoms, decreasing the frequency and severity of relapses, and preventing life-threatening complications. Spermatocytic tumor of the testis: A case report and mini‑review of the literature.

Spermatocytic tumors are a rare type of testicular cancer, comprising <1% of all testicular malignancies. This type of cancer typically affects males in their 60s and 70s and rarely metastasizes; however, it poses a threat to the health of affected individuals if left untreated. The present study describes the case of a 68-year-old male patient with this type of tumor, including a presentation of his initial symptoms, treatment and subsequent monitoring.

The present study aimed to present the clinicopathological findings and identify the sensitivity and resistance of isolated bacteria in patients with GM. In this cross-sectional study 63 female patients with a confirmed histopathological diagnosis of GM were included.

Aurora rings may not always indicate an inverted colonic diverticulum: Report of a rare case of colonic lipoma.

Aurora rings are prominent endoscopic features of the inverted colonic diverticulum (ICD), and their appearance alongside a colonic lipoma is an unprecedented phenomenon. The present study reports a case of colonic lipoma with Aurora rings, contradicting the assumption that Aurora rings are indicative of ICD. A 52-year-old male patient presented with left-sided abdominal pain for >1 year, associated with constipation in the form of the decreased frequency of bowel motions every 4 to 5 days.

Non-operative management of pilonidal sinus disease; classification and outcome.

The characteristics of the pilonidal sinus that are associated with recurrence have scarcely been investigated in the literature. This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of patients with sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus disease who were managed by a non-operative technique using Salih's preparation. This study also tries to classify the patients according to the features that determine the outcome of the intervention.

Operative management and outcomes in patients with myxomas: A single-center experience.
