- Treatment with levetiracetam controlled his seizures, while further tests and imaging suggested possible neuro-Sweet disease and revealed cerebrovascular issues, including four dural arteriovenous fistulas.
- After successful endovascular embolization to treat the fistulas, the patient's condition improved, and he remained seizure-free for two years.
A 52-year-old man had developed hearing loss since childhood, as well as recurrent foot ulcers and osteomyelitis since his forties. He presented with gait disturbance and dysarthria that had worsened over four years and a month, respectively. Neurological exams revealed cognitive impairment, proximal weakness of the lower extremities, generalized hyperrflexia, ataxia, sensory disturbances predominant in deep sensation, urinary retention, and gait instability.

The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical evidence including Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS). Compounds - were obtained as complex compounds with disulfane or trisulfane and tetrahydro-2-difuro[3,2-:2',3'-]furan-5(5a)-one.
