- * Essential oils from Cymbopogon citratus, Foeniculum vulgare, and Eucalyptus globulus demonstrated 100% mortality of M. ovinus within just 3 hours at specific concentrations, outperforming Ivermectin.
- * Among the tested substances, Cymbopogon citratus proved to be the most effective, while Calpurnia aurea showed significant antiparasitic effects with 80% mortality at a higher concentration after 24 hours, indicating the potential for these plants in biocontrol strategies.
The antibacterial activity of the crude aqueous extract of garlic was investigated against some pneumonia causing bacteria by an agar dilution technique. The results revealed that Streptococcus pneumoniae standard test organism was completely inhibited by 7.8 mg/ml of media and the clinical isolate of Klebsiella pneumoniae was completely inhibited by 24.
