This study examines the acceptance of POCUS among medical students and explores strategies to optimize its integration into their training.
Materials And Methods: A total of 318 medical students, spanning both preclinical and clinical semesters, participated in seminars that included POCUS demonstrations and hands-on practice.

Introduction: A novel focal cortex stimulation (FCS) device has recently received approval in Europe for patients with focal drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE). Purpose: In effortful listening conditions, speech perception and adaptation abilities are constrained by aging and often linked to age-related hearing loss and cognitive decline. Given that older adults are frequent communication partners of individuals with dysarthria, the current study examines cognitive-linguistic and hearing predictors of dysarthric speech perception and adaptation in older listeners.
Method: Fifty-eight older adult listeners (aged 55-80 years) completed a battery of hearing and cognitive tasks administered via the National Institutes of Health Toolbox.
Objectives: Urothelial carcinoma in situ (CIS) with early papillary formation is terminology sometimes used to suggest incipient high-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma (PUC) but may lead to confusion between true CIS and lateral flat spread of PUC.
Methods: It remains unclear how pathologists and urologists interpret this scenario, so a survey was circulated to 68 pathologists (group 1 = 28 academic genitourinary pathologists; group 2 = 17 pathologists with a self-reported genitourinary focus; group 3 = 23 pathologists self-reported as not genitourinary specialists) and 32 urologists.
Results: Regarding atypical urothelial lesions that appear mainly flat but contain possible papillae, group 3 was more likely to label this as CIS compared with groups 1 and 2 (35% for group 3 vs 13% for groups 1 and 2), while groups 1 and 2 more often adopted another descriptive diagnosis, such as "CIS with early papillary features" (38% for groups 1 and 2 vs 13% for group 3).

Method: Thirty-five assistant professors (16 from very high research activity [R1] institutions, 19 from institutions with other Carnegie classifications) participated in one 1-hr virtual focus group conducted via Zoom recording technology. The researchers used a conventional content analysis approach to analyze the focus group data and develop categories from the discussions.
Background And Objective: Cenobamate is a novel anti-seizure medication (ASM) with unusually high responder rates even in patients with refractory epilepsy. Due to its enzyme-inducing properties, cenobamate could negatively affect bone metabolism, similar to other ASMs; however, effects of long-term cenobamate treatment on bone health have not yet been investigated. The aim of this longitudinal observational study was to assess the effects of 1 year of continuous, adjunctive cenobamate treatment on bone health in patients with drug-resistant, focal epilepsy.
