Selection and application of methanol-utilizing bacteria from tomato leaves for biocontrol of gray mold.

Gray mold, caused by , is a significant threat to tomato production. Traditional chemical control methods have become increasingly ineffective because of the development of resistance. This study aimed to isolate methanol-utilizing bacteria from tomato leaves and evaluate their biocontrol potential against gray mold.

[Two cases of advanced gastric cancer with peritoneal dissemination acquired long-term response three years or more by postoperative treatment with oral anticancer drug TS-1].

The first patient is a 60-year-old man who underwent total gastrectomy and splenectomy for type-3 gastric cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The second patient is a 69-year-old woman who underwent distal gastrectomy for type-2 gastric cancer and pyloric stenosis after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Some peritoneal dissemination was observed in these two cases.
