A 63-year-old woman with atrial fibrillation visited our hospital due to decompensated heart failure. Because atrial fibrillation was considered a remarkable precipitating factor for heart failure, cardioversion was performed. After cardioversion, refractory hypotension and cardiopulmonary arrest occurred.
