Modulating autophagy and mitophagy, vital cellular quality control systems, offer therapeutic potential for critical illnesses. However, limited drug screening options hinder progress. We present a novel assay using the photoswitchable fluorescent reporter, mito-Kaede, to quantify mitophagy flux.

Surgical repair is an ideal treatment; however, it is inappropriate in patients with SMA pseudoaneurysm due to advanced cancer, and endovascular therapy is an alternative treatment for nonsurgical candidates. Here, we report a case of SMA pseudoaneurysm in a patient with advanced pancreatic cancer, which was successfully treated with the placement of a biliary covered stent.

However, such methods are very invasive and have various complications. With recent progress in endovascular treatment, a low-profile REBOA device (7Fr) has been developed.

However, there are few biomarkers that are easily measured and accurately reflect the disease states. The aim of this study was to identify novel oxidative stress markers using the 2-nitrobenzenesulfenyl (NBS) stable isotope labeling method and to examine the clinical utility of these diagnostic markers for NASH.
