Endovascular therapy (EVT) utilizing self-expanding stent grafts has shown promising clinical outcomes for femoropopliteal lesions. However, restenosis and thrombotic occlusion remain significant concerns with unclear underlying mechanisms. This is the case of a 53-year-old male with diabetic nephropathy requiring hemodialysis.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the cross-over technique, wherein an overlapped ablation is performed by placing the CB from both directions in contact with the LAPW.
Methods: This was a single-center, retrospective, observational study of 194 consecutive patients with persistent atrial fibrillation (PerAF) who underwent a first-time procedure of pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) + PWI (108 patients) or PVI-only (86 patients) using the CB.
Background: Because the clinical benefit of antiplatelet therapy (APT) for patients with nonsignificant coronary artery disease (CAD) remains poorly understood, we evaluated it in patients after fractional flow reserve (FFR)-guided deferral of revascularization.
Methods And Results: From the J-CONFIRM (Long-Term Outcomes of Japanese Patients with Deferral of Coronary Intervention Based on Fractional Flow Reserve in Multicenter Registry), we investigated 265 patients with deferred lesions who did not require APT for secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. A 2-year landmark analysis assessed the relationship between APT at 2 years and 5-year major cardiac adverse events (MACE: composite of all-cause death, target vessel-related myocardial infarction, clinically driven target vessel revascularization).
Whether malnutrition during the early phase of recovery from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) could be a predictor of mortality or morbidity has not been ascertained. We examined 289 AMI patients. All-cause mortality and composite endpoints (all-cause mortality, nonfatal stroke, nonfatal acute coronary syndrome, and hospitalization for acute decompensated heart failure) during the follow-up duration (median 39 months) were evaluated.

Estimating plaque solidity before the procedure may help operators penetrate calcified plaque with a guide wire. The aim of this study was to establish a method of measuring plaque solidity with noncontrast computed tomography (CT).

Result: This study retrospectively enrolled 39 patients with V-A ECMO due to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (CA) between January 2010 and March 2019.
We experienced a case of primary percutaneous coronary intervention for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) using appropriate infection prevention protocol. However, recanalization was difficult due to severe coagulopathy. Further researches are needed to clarify optimal treatment for STEMI in patients with COVID-19.

Cardiac MRI revealed diffuse global subendocardial late gadolinium enhancement below the left ventricular endocardium and a dark blood pool of intracardiac contrast medium. Tongue biopsy revealed amyloid deposition, which was limited in the myocardium.
