Introduction: Dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy (DRPLA) is an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disease with various neurological manifestations. Corneal endothelial degeneration and optic atrophy have been reported separately; however, there are no reports of corneal endothelial degeneration with optic atrophy.

Cases: Herein, we present four related patients with DRPLA: two patients (69-year-old woman and 80-year-old man) who exhibited both corneal endothelial degeneration and optic atrophy and another two (49- and 51-year-old women, respectively) who exhibited only corneal endothelial degeneration.

Purpose: To report a case of conjunctival epithelial ingrowth after penetrating keratoplasty.

Methods: A 57-year-old woman with herpetic corneal keratitis, endotheliitis, and bullous keratopathy underwent penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) and secondary cataract surgery. One month after cataract surgery, an epithelial ingrowth was observed at the 5 o'clock donor host junction.

Aims: To evaluate the long-term outcome of deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) for the treatment of herpetic keratitis, keratoconus, stromal scars and corneal dystrophies.

Methods: This retrospective consecutive case study includes 275 consecutive eyes of 254 patients who underwent DALK; 35 eyes with herpetic keratitis, 114 eyes with stromal scar, 93 eyes with keratoconus and 67 eyes with corneal dystrophy. Exclusion criteria included therapeutic DALK for the treatment of descemetocele or infectious keratitis, and eyes with limbal stem cell deficiency.
