Methods: Five types of water-jet-functioned electrosurgical knives, including two injection styles of sheath-type (A: DualKnife J, KD-655L; B: FlushKnife, DK2620-J-B20S; C: Splash M-Knife, DN-D2718B; D: ISSEN, SN1650-20) and tip-type (E: ORISE ProKnife, M00519361) were evaluated. These knives were compared with an injection needle (Control: SuperGrip 25G) as a control.
In this work, we propose lateral voltage as a new input for use in artificial lipid bilayer systems in addition to the commonly used transmembrane voltage. To apply a lateral voltage to bilayer lipid membranes, we fabricated electrode-equipped silicon and Teflon chips. The Si chips could be used for photodetector devices based on fullerene-doped lipid bilayers, and the Teflon chips were used in a study of the ion channel functions in the lipid bilayer.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of a delivery system of bioactive proteins using anionic and cationic gelatin microspheres and to establish a new PVR model in rabbits by intraocular sustained delivery of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and interferon-beta (IFNβ).
