A 64-year-old male was referred to our hospital with both advanced rectal cancer and lung tumor with swollen lymph nodes in the lung hilum. The patient underwent laparoscopic low anterior resection followed by systematic lobectomy of the lung 2 months later. Postoperative pathological examination revealed a diagnosis of metastatic lung tumor and metastasis in the lung hilum.
