Upper gastrointestinal stenosis, which can be congenital or acquired, can lead to dysphagia. The association between trisomy 17p syndrome, a rare chromosomal abnormality, and upper gastrointestinal stenosis is unclear. A total of 259 children were investigated, including 186 from settled families and 73 from unsettled families. OPV coverage was found to be as low as 32.
