Introduction: This study examined the effects on upper limb function, activities of daily living, and stress responses when wearing a wrist orthosis made of padded fiberglass or thermoplastic and provided essential information for selecting an orthosis.
Methods: Thirty-one healthy adults performed two tests while not wearing a wrist orthosis, wearing a padded fiberglass wrist orthosis, and wearing a thermoplastic wrist orthosis. The Purdue Pegboard Test examined upper limb control.
Introduction: To improve the prediction of outcomes in patients who will undergo radical nephroureterectomy (RN U) for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC), we investigated the preoperative prognostic factors and developed a risk classification model.

Introduction: We aimed to clarify the therapeutic outcome of combination therapy using immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and/or tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) for meta-static non-clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (nccRCC).
Methods: We have been retrospectively investigating the therapeutic efficacy and prognosis in 36 patients with metastatic nccRCC undergoing combination therapy using two ICIs, ipilimumab plus nivolumab (ICI-ICI), and ICI plus TKI (ICI-TKI), at Kobe University and affiliated institutions since 2018. Progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), objective response rate (ORR), and adverse event (AE) were compared.
The favorable benefit-risk profile of polatuzumab vedotin, as demonstrated in a pivotal Phase Ib/II randomized study (GO29365; NCT02257567), coupled with the need for effective therapies in relapsed/refractory (R/R) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), prompted the need to accelerate polatuzumab vedotin development. An integrated, fit-for-purpose clinical pharmacology package was designed to support regulatory approval. To address key clinical pharmacology questions without dedicated clinical pharmacology studies, we leveraged non-clinical and clinical data for polatuzumab vedotin, published clinical data for brentuximab vedotin, a similar antibody-drug conjugate, and physiologically based pharmacokinetic and population pharmacokinetic modeling approaches.

The lead SNP is in the FCGR/FCRL region, which shows a penetrating association in the Asian population, while a complete linkage disequilibrium SNP, rs10917688, is found in a cis-regulatory element for IRF8. IRF8 is also a significant locus in European GWAS for systemic sclerosis, but rs10917688 only shows an association in the presence of the risk allele of IRF8 in the Japanese population.
