Rosai-Dorfman disease presenting solely with intrathoracic lesions is exceptionally rare. Herein, we report the case of a 53-year-old man presenting with a posterior mediastinal tumour. Computed tomography revealed a 7-cm soft tissue shadow in the posterior mediastinum.

In rare cases, severe patients develop acute extra-palmoplantar lesions often accompanied by arthralgia. Such cases with extensive symptoms often necessitate systemic treatments with variable efficacy and potential side effects.

However, few studies have reported on familial IPMN, its clinical characteristics, or the associated genetic factors.
Materials And Methods: We report the case of a 58-year-old woman with multifocal IPMN and a mural nodule in the pancreatic body.
Background: Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) is a rare intraepithelial adenocarcinoma that mainly affects the anogenital and axillary regions. Although its etiology has not been fully elucidated, there is evidence that androgen receptors (AR) are expressed in most cases of EMPD. However, the role of androgen signaling in the pathogenesis of EMPD remains unclear.

Although - like normal apocrine glands - EMPD frequently expresses androgen receptor (AR), the clinical significance of AR expression remains unclear. The present study investigated the clinicopathological impact of AR expression in EMPD.

Despite their favorable outcomes, they are associated with a unique set of toxicities termed as immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Among the toxicities, ICI-related pneumonitis has poor outcomes with little understanding of its risk factors.

Computed tomography scans revealed a well-circumscribed nodule measuring 28 mm between B4 and B5 in the right middle lobe. Because the tumor was in the center of right middle lobe, a middle lobe resection was performed.

Twenty-eight clinical and 48 environmental strains of Aeromonas species isolated in Okinawa Prefecture of Japan were used in this study. The full-length flaA genes of these strains were sequenced and aligned, and a phylogenetic tree was constructed.

Clinicopathological findings in this case support the theory that lacrimal fluid can be a metastatic pathway for tumour cells. Dermatologists should be aware of the possibility that cutaneous eyelid melanoma may involve the nasolacrimal system and should examine it during the perioperative period and in postoperative follow-up.

Retrospective analyses were performed to assess the management and outcomes of hydronephrosis in metastatic EMPD. During a follow-up of 44 patients with metastatic EMPD, 13 (30%) developed hydronephrosis.

Those are more common in the mucous and acral subtypes and KIT is regarded as major oncogene in Asian melanomas, where the prevalence of these subtypes is high. Up to date, several clinical trials have been conducted to target KIT gene alterations in melanoma with unsatisfied efficacies.

The ISEcp1-bla transposition unit of ESBL-producing bacterial isolates has been considered responsible for the production of CTX-M type ESBL and it is important for the dissemination of bla . This study aimed to characterize the upstream genetic structure (UGS) of E.

Although ESBL-E causes early or late onset of neonatal sepsis, the prevalence of ESBL-E carriage among pregnant women in Indonesia is not clear. In the present study, we compared the occurrence of carriage of ESBL-E among pregnant women in a primary health center (PHC) versus two hospitals.

We investigated the immunological and genetic factors of the pretreatment tumor and expanded TILs that may be associated with the clinical response. The treatment protocol comprised preparation of TIL culture, lympho-depleting non-myeloablative preconditioning with cyclophosphamide and fludarabine, TIL infusion, and intravenous administration of low-dose IL-2.

However, determination of bla location has been difficult when multiple copies of ISEcp1 were found on bacterial genome. We aimed to establish a high-throughput analytical method for upstream genetic structures (UGS) of ISEcp1 to facilitate determination of bla location.

Methods: A total of 84 strains identified as extended-spectrum β-lactamases-producing E. coli were isolated from patients with urinary tract infection in Indonesia in 2015.
Aims: To reveal the sources of Aeromonas infection in Okinawa Prefecture of Japan, the species, virulence genes and clones of strains isolated from clinical specimens and well water were compared.
Methods And Results: The properties of both isolates were investigated by sequencing of rpoD, detection of 10 virulence genes using PCR and genotyping with pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. In all, 68 clinical and 146 well water strains of Aeromonas were isolated and the main species were A.
Introduction: Malignant cutaneous epithelial tumors comprise various skin malignancies originating from the cutaneous epithelium, including cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and malignant cutaneous adnexal tumors. Treatment options are limited, as the rarity of these tumors, especially among Asians, renders well-controlled clinical trials extremely challenging to conduct. Thus, we designed a clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the anti-programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibody nivolumab in patients with metastatic cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas and other rare metastatic cutaneous epithelial tumors.
