Single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) is a powerful method to comprehensively overlook gene expression profiles of individual cells in various tissues, providing fundamental datasets for classification of cell types and further functional analyses. Here we adopted scRNA-seq analysis for the zebrafish olfactory sensory neurons which respond to water-borne odorants and pheromones to elicit various behaviors crucial for survival and species preservation. Firstly, a single-cell dissociation procedure of the zebrafish olfactory rosettes was optimized by using cold-active protease, minimizing artifactual neuronal activation.

This retrospective study developed an automated algorithm for 3D segmentation of adipose tissue and paravertebral muscle on chest CT using artificial intelligence (AI) and assessed its feasibility. The study included patients from the Boston Lung Cancer Study (2000-2011). For adipose tissue quantification, 77 patients were included, while 245 were used for muscle quantification.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the diagnostic performance of dynamic chest radiography (DCR) and investigate its added value to chest radiography (CR) in detecting pulmonary embolism (PE).

Introduction: Interstitial lung abnormalities (ILA) often represent early fibrotic changes that can portend a progressive fibrotic phenotype. Understanding and controlling protein motion at atomic resolution is a hallmark challenge for structural biologists and protein engineers because conformational dynamics are essential for complex functions such as enzyme catalysis and allosteric regulation. Dynamic chest radiography (DCR) is a novel functional radiographic imaging technique that can be used to visualize pulmonary perfusion without using contrast media. Although it has many advantages and clinical utility, most radiologists are unfamiliar with this technique because of its novelty. This review aims to (1) explain the basic principles of lung perfusion assessment using DCR, (2) discuss the advantages of DCR over other imaging modalities, and (3) review multiple specific clinical applications of DCR for pulmonary vascular diseases and compare them with other imaging modalities.

Objective: To report a case of symptomatic large cerebral aneurysm of the internal carotid artery (ICA), associated with a primitive trigeminal artery variant (PTAv), which was treated with a balloon occlusion test (BOT) to evaluate ischemic tolerance.

Case Presentation: A 79-year-old woman was diagnosed with a symptomatic large cerebral aneurysm of the ICA bifurcating the PTAv due to diplopia. After confirming the ischemic tolerance of the perfusion area and PTAv by BOT, we performed ICA parent artery occlusion with selective embolization of the PTAv.
