Suillus grevillei is a popular species of mushroom available worldwide. In this study, we isolated compounds, bolegrevilol B and bolegrevilol C, from the mushroom and observed their potent lipid peroxidation-inhibiting activity. The structures of bolegrevilol B and bolegrevilol C were elucidated as 3-geranylgeranyl-1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene and 3-geranylgeranyl-1,2-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzene, respectively, through high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (-) and 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance analyses.

Long- and uniform-length, and high-density hair-like carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were produced by CNT growth on sub-micron-sized spherical catalyst supports. The nanosized catalysts (FeO , CoO , and NiO ) that were supported in/on the sub-micron-sized spherical metal oxides (TiO, ZrO, SnO, and CeO) were prepared one-step solvothermal and/or two-step impregnation methods. The nanosized catalysts supported in/on the spherical metal oxide supports were converted into CNT conjugates with the CNT-hair morphology a chemical thermal vapor deposition technique using ethyne gas as a carbon source; the CNTs grew on the central spherical metal oxide core under the base growth process conditions.

The circadian rhythm, which regulates various body functions, is transcriptionally controlled by a series of clock gene clusters. The clock genes are related to the pathology of various kinds of diseases. Although there is evidence of serious sleep disorders in patients with chronic hepatitis, the liver regeneration mechanism under chronic hepatitis conditions and its association with the clock genes are not clear.
