Hyperspectral quantitative phase microscopy (HS-QPM) involves the acquisition of phase images across narrow spectral bands, which enables wavelength-dependent study of different biological samples. In the present work, a compact Linnik-type HS-QPM system is developed to reduce the instability and complexity associated with conventional HS-QPM techniques. Here we use a series of β-globin (HBB) gene constructs with intron 1 deletions to define D-BP lengths that present low/no risk of mis-splicing and lengths which are critically short and likely elicit clinically relevant mis-splicing. We extend our previous observation in EMD intron 5 of 46 nt as the minimal productive D-BP length, demonstrating spliceosome assembly constraint persists at D-BP lengths of 47-56 nt.

Objective: Oral cancer is a leading cause of mortality globally, particularly affecting developing regions where oral hygiene is often overlooked. The optical properties of tissues are vital for diagnostics, with polarization imaging emerging as a label-free, contrast-enhancing technique widely employed in medical and scientific research over past few decades.
Materials And Methods: We present a novel polarization sensitive quantitative phase imaging of biological tissues by incorporating the conventional polarization microscope and transport of intensity equation-based phase retrieval algorithm.
C-reactive protein (CRP) may reflect a pro-inflammatory tumor microenvironment and could represent a biomarker to select patients with urothelial carcinoma more likely to benefit from therapies directed at modulating tumor-promoting inflammation. We performed a systematic review to evaluate survival outcomes based on pre-treatment CRP values in urothelial carcinoma. The hazard ratios (HRs) of survival such as overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) between groups with high versus low CRP values were pooled by the random-effect model meta-analyses.

Patients And Methods: We performed a systematic search of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane library for randomized controlled trials of patients receiving ARAT agents for PC from inception to March 2023. The odds ratios (ORs) of all-grade and high-grade cardiovascular adverse events (CVAEs) for patients treated with and without ARAT agents were pooled for meta-analysis.
This study introduces the Deep Normative Tractometry (DNT) framework, that encodes the joint distribution of both macrostructural and microstructural profiles of the brain white matter tracts through a variational autoencoder (VAE). By training on data from healthy controls, DNT learns the normative distribution of tract data, and can delineate along-tract micro-and macro-structural abnormalities. Leveraging a large sample size via generative pre-training, we assess DNT's generalizability using transfer learning on data from an independent cohort acquired in India.

Here, we examine the value of adding diffusion-weighted MRI (dMRI) as an input to these models. Much research in this area focuses on specific datasets such as the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI), which assesses people of North American, largely European ancestry, so we examine how models trained on ADNI, generalize to a new population dataset from India (the NIMHANS cohort).

Methods: PLWH and solid tumors or Kaposi sarcoma (KS) receiving antiretroviral therapy and a suppressed HIV viral load received nivolumab at 3 mg/kg every 2 weeks, in two dose deescalation cohorts stratified by CD4 count (stratum 1: CD4 count > 200/µL and stratum 2: CD4 count 100-199/µL). An expansion cohort of 24 participants with a CD4 count > 200/µL was then enrolled.

Our approach considers both the global bundle structure and local streamline-wise features. We apply to bundles generated from single-shell diffusion MRI data in an independent clinical sample of older adults from India using probabilistic tractography and the resulting 'cleaned' bundles can better align with the atlas bundles with reduced overreach.
