In the current research mushroom/bentonite clay (RDBNC) as a low-cost bionanosorbent was investigated for adsorption of methylene blue (MB) and malachite green (MG) dye from contaminated water. The bionanosorbent was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), and Zeta-potential techniques. Adsorption experiments of RDBNC for MB, MG dyes following Freundlich isotherm and pseudo second order kinetic models.

Growing concerns over the human health and environmental impacts of conventional fungicides, coupled with the escalating challenge of microbial resistance, have fueled the search for sustainable biocontrol strategies against plant pathogens. This study reports, for the first time, the green synthesis and characterization of a novel, eco-friendly nanomaterial, designated Pleurotus eryngii-Lecithin-Chitosan Nanomaterial (PEELCN), derived from P. eryngii extract (PEE), lecithin (L), and chitosan (C).

Objective: Our aim in this study is, does 29-day regular consumption of water extract by volunteer individuals who meet the study criteria have an effect on blood and cytokine values?

Method: In accordance with the purpose of the study, volunteers were asked to consume 100 ml of the extract every morning for 29 days. Three tubes of blood samples were taken from the volunteers on the 15th and 29th days of the study. Biochemical and hematological analysis of the blood samples were performed and immunomodulatory effects through cytokines were examined.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigated the protective effects of Pleurotus eryngii extract (PE) and chitosan nanoparticles loaded with the extract (PE-CSNP) against testicular damage caused by the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin (DOX) in male rats.
  • - Rats were divided into six treatment groups, including controls and various combinations of PE, PE-CSNP, and DOX, administered over a 21-day period.
  • - Results showed that both PE and PE-CSNP reduced oxidative stress and apoptosis markers in the testicles of DOX-treated rats, with PE-CSNP proving to be more effective than PE in protecting against testicular toxicity.

This study aimed to synthesize gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) by hot water extract in room conditions using edible (ME) and investigate the bioactive properties of the synthesized -based gold nanoparticles (ME-AuNPs). The characterization of the biologically synthesized ME-AuNPs was made using the ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, X-ray crystallography, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray spectrum methods. The ME-AuNPs, with a particle size of 16.

With the increase of antibiotic resistance, which is present at a worrying rate, research on the use of newly developed nanoparticles as an antimicrobial agent with green biotechnology has intensified. The study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial effects of chitosan nanoparticles (CSNP) synthesized using extract (PE). Characterization of -loaded chitosan nanoparticles (PE-CSNPs) was performed with Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer, X-ray diffraction, Field-emission scanning electron microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller, Differential scanning calorimetry, and zeta potential techniques.
