A 54-year-old male visited our hospital, complaining of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) such as loss of urinary force following the unsuccessful treatment using an alpha1-blocker. Transabdominal ultrasonography performed for measuring postvoid residual urine volume incidentally detected a solid tumor at the bladder neck. In addition, transrectal ultrasonography at voiding confirmed the tumor to obstruct prostatic urethra during voiding.

These symptoms appeared the day following oral-genital contact (fellatio) with a commercial sex worker. Transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR-P) was performed on 463 consecutive patients with clinically diagnosed benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) between April 1994 and June 2000. Pathological examinations of resected prostatic tissues revealed prostatic cancer in 15 (3.2%) of them.
