Acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in a young man with unknown multiple and mixed Valvular heart diseases: case report.

Although the incidence of systemic thromboembolism in valvular heart disease has been reported to be as high as 10% to 35%, embolization to the coronary arteries is uncommon. We present a case of a patient with acute myocardial infarction caused by coronary thromboemboli associated with combined valvular heart disease and atrial fibrillation. The thromboemboli were documented in the left descending artery.

Coronary Artery Ectasia: Case Reports and Literature Review.

Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is a rare condition, affecting 3%-8% of patients with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, and is characterized by the abnormal dilatation of the coronary arteries. While the etiology of coronary artery ectasia encompasses a myriad of acquired and genetic factors, its pathogenesis still remains a subject of investigation. The clinical manifestations are varied, ranging from asymptomatic cases to chest angina and myocardial infarction.

[How to differentiate COVID-19 pneumonia from heart failure? A case report].

We report the case of a 64-year-old patient with a history of coronary artery disease and severe left ventricular dysfunction ischemic requiring medical therapy only admitted for dyspnea. The association of heart failure with COVID-19 pneumonia is discussed. The distinction between these two pathologies is based on a set of clinical, biological and radiological arguments.

Prosthetic thrombosis and coronary embolism during pregnancy: a delicate situation of antithrombotic therapy management.

Mechanical heart valve thrombosis is not so rare in pregnant women because of the difficulties in managing anticoagulant treatment and the hypercoagulability state associated with pregnancy. Among the embolic complications of valve prosthetic thrombosis, the coronary embolism is rare, it requires an urgent pharmaco-invasive approach which must be adapted to this particular associated condition. We report the observation and the difficulties of managing antithrombotic therapy in a pregnant patient hospitalized for non-obstructive prosthetic valve thrombosis complicated by coronary embolism and resulting in ST elevation myocardial infarction.
