Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are photovoltaic devices that directly convert solar radiation into current, in which the dye sensitizer serves as a critical structure that plays a significant role in determining the performance and conversion efficiency of DSSCs devices. In this paper, a series of D-A-π-A type dyes are designed, in which 2,2'-bithiophene, 1,1'-biphenyl as well as C=C and azo groups are used as π-conjugated bridges to transport electrons, respectively. The ground and excited state properties of several molecules were analyzed by density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT).

The sensitizer is the core component in DSSCs, and the photo-to-electric conversion efficiency of DSSCs can be significantly improved by optimizing the dye sensitizer structure and properties. In this paper, a set of D-A-π-A sensitizer (SHY1 ∼ 4) were designed by modifying different donor groups and analyzed their charge transfer and photophysical properties.

Existing publicly available datasets suffer from limitations such as insufficient data amount and lack of spatial distribution information. In this paper, we present a comprehensive EEG dataset containing annotated interictal epileptic data from 84 patients, each contributing 20 minutes of continuous raw EEG recordings, totaling 28 hours.

Tetrahydroberberrubine (THBru) is a derivative of berberine (BBR) that has been shown to have higher bioavailability and lower toxicity compared to its parent compound. However, its impact on hyperlipidemia has not been fully explored.

This study identified synergists capable of enhancing the insecticidal activity of Beauveria bassiana (Bb) and investigated the underlying synergistic mechanisms. Our results found that among 6 potential synergists, polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG) and trehalose significantly improved Bb's lethality against Hyphantria cunea larvae, with PEG demonstrating the most pronounced effect.

Although the seasonal variability of GHG emissions from boreal lakes is crucial for improving global emission models, emissions during the freezing period have not received sufficient attention. Focusing on two representative boreal lakes in China-Ulansuhai and Daihai-this study investigated variations in GHG emissions during both the non-freezing and freezing periods.

However, simulated freezing conditions often fall short of replicating natural freezing processes, and studies on the vertical distribution of NPs remain inadequate. This study established a more realistic simulation of the natural freezing process in surface water by controlling both the air temperature () and the water temperature ().

This study explored the occurrence characteristics and spatial variations of different PHs at the depths of 0-10 m in an abandoned industrial site, as well as evaluated the effects of solid organic matter (SOM), dissolved organic matter (DOM), and soil texture on the migration potentials of PHs with varying carbon chains. Furthermore, the leaching potentials of different PHs were integrated into their risk assessment.

Therefore, it is imperative to elucidate the uptake characteristics of PFASs by crop roots and leaves as well as the critical influencing factors. In this study, the uptake and translocation of PFASs by roots and leaves of pak choi and radish were systematically explored based on perfluorobutanoic acid (PFBA), perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS).

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a complication of diabetes mellitus characterized by heart failure and cardiac remodeling. Previous studies show that tetrahydroberberrubine (THBru) retrogrades cardiac aging by promoting PHB2-mediated mitochondrial autophagy and prevents peritoneal adhesion by suppressing inflammation. In this study we investigated whether THBru exerted protective effect against DCM in db/db mice and potential mechanisms.

Datasets comprise 24 931 IED (from 484 patients) and 166 094 non-IED 4-second video-EEG segments. The video data is processed by the proposed patient detection method, with frame difference and Simple Keypoints (SKPS) capturing patients' movements.

However, the spatio-temporal heterogeneity of CH ebullition emission and its influencing factors in shallow eutrophic lakes of arid and semi-arid regions remain unclear. This study aimed to determine the mechanism of CH emission via eutrophication in Lake Ulansuhai, a large shallow eutrophic lake in a semi-arid region of China.
