Older adult patients with prostate cancer experience symptoms such as uncontrolled sexual and urinary dysfunction after radical prostatectomy, which lowers self-esteem. Lack of access to information about the illness increases uncertainty, requiring interventions from healthcare providers. This study aimed to identify factors affecting the self-esteem of older adult patients who underwent prostate cancer surgery and provided data for establishing nursing strategies to promote healthy lifespans.

Among the factors that threaten patient safety and quality of care due to the diversification and complication of hospital environments, nurses play a pivotal role regarding patient safety in the clinical setting. This study investigates the mediating effects of moral sensitivity on the relationship between nurses' patient safety silence and safety nursing activities and contributes to developing strategies. Nurses (n = 120) employed for at least one year in two university hospitals in Korea between 1 September and 30 October 2020 participated in the study.

This study aims to test which factors influence and aid the psychosocial adjustment of patients with an ostomy and to provide data for the development of programmes for the self-management of and psychosocial adjustment to intestinal stomas. A total of 150 ostomy patients were recruited between December 1, 2017 and March 26, 2018 in Korea and completed self-report questionnaires. Data of 25 participants were excluded, resulting in a sample size of 125 participants.
