Purpose: Emergency department nurses work in rapidly changing environments, which can contribute to occupational stress. Emergency department nurses utilise diverse strategies to mediate the impact of stress on their daily lives. There is a paucity of qualitative research which explores emergency department nurses' experiences and perspectives of burnout.

Two different conditioner discs were used in conjunction with up to two different conditioning downforces. For each disc-downforce combination, mini-marathons were run using SiO wafers.

Partial matching of the dispersion relationships of a hologram fabricated in dichromated gelatin with a waveguide/grating coupler etched in glass, show an increase in the full-width half-maximum wavelength (FWHM) bandwidth from approximately 0.25 nm to greater than 5 nm.

The effects of these image degrading parameters are related to the frequency and power requirements for CMOS compatible detectors in an optical interconnect system. Techniques for reducing the magnitude of these problems with substrate-mode holograms are described, and experimental results demonstrating these designs are presented.

The system responsible for N2 fixation under these conditions is thought to be an alternative N2 fixation system (Bishop et al., Proc.

Two Azotobacter vinelandii strains capable of growing on N2(Nif+) were isolated from two different mutant strains that lacked dinitrogenase activity (Nif-). Extracts of N2-grown cells of the two Nif+ strains lacked significant amounts of the "conventional" dinitrogenase protein subunits, as determined by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. Instead, the extracts contained at least four new proteins that appeared to be ammonia-repressible (i.

The order of administration was randomized and not known to us during the study. Each period of treatment with active drug was followed by one week during which placebo tablets were taken.
