Nile Tilapia fish scale collagen has high biodegradability, excellent biocompatibility, and low antigenicity. We assessed both the encapsulation efficiency of theophylline into Nile Tilapia fish scale-based collagen nanoparticles and their stability as a pulmonary drug delivery system in male Sprague-Dawley rats.
