Background And Aim: Steviol glycosides extracted from the leaves of Bertoni have been of much consideration recently because of their beneficial effects on health, raising the possibilities for improving farm animals' health. Although some studies on stevia's dietary effect on body weight gain are available, few studies have been conducted to evaluate stevioside supplementation on immune response in broilers. This experiment aimed to analyze how a stevia-based sweetener can affect broiler chickens' growth performance and humoral response.

This enhanced resistance can be achieved by using inorganic and organic compounds which imitate the biological induction of systemic acquired resistance. INA (2,6 dichloro-isonicotinic acid) was the first synthetic compound created as a resistance inducer for plant-pathogen interactions.

Serological evidence in Mexico of the presence of this lentivirus was published in 1986. After that, studies revealed that SRLVs have a broad distribution in Mexico by detecting antibodies or/and molecular tests; however, a descriptive case of the disease has not been published.

Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a rapid and low-cost method for determination of hormone estradiol and antibiotic chlortetracycline in bovine and porcine blood serum by aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) extraction and capillary electrophoresis quantification. ATPS based on ionic liquid cholinium alaninate and citrate salt along with mixtures of protic and aprotic polar solvents were evaluated in terms of recovery of extraction (%R).

However, little information is available about the role of histone lysine methyltransferases in the legume-rhizobium interaction and in the formation of nitrogen-fixing nodules in the common bean. Thus, this study aimed to gain a better understanding of the epigenetic control of nodulation in the common bean.

Their competence to respond to such stresses fundamentally depends on its capacity to modulate the transcriptome rapidly and specifically. Thus, chromatin dynamics is a mechanism linked to transcriptional regulation and enhanced defense in plants.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA polymerase chain reaction and capillary gel electrophoresis (PCR-CGE) method with ultraviolet (UV) or laser induced fluorescence detection (LIF) was established for the detection of chicken or turkey in heat-treated pork meat mixtures. Mitochondrial DNA samples extracted from heat treated meat were amplified with their corresponding specific primers yielding PCR products between 200 and 300 bp. LIF detection was superior than UV detection in terms of precision and sensitivity for the study of DNA fragments.

The creation of the AIDS National Prevention and Control Council (CONASIDA) and the advent of Mexicans Against AIDS, Confederation of NGO, paved the way towards a solid organization of groups created in recent years. This essay addresses the obstacles, accomplishments and advancements that NGO working on AIDS have experienced in their struggle against the AIDS epidemic in Mexico.
