Background: Admission to the intensive care unit (ICU) is frequently required for patients with acute leukemia (AL) because of life-threatening complications such as intracranial hemorrhage (IH). In this study, we evaluated the impact of IH on survival and neurological outcomes in this population.
Methods: This was a single-center retrospective cohort study including adult patients with AL requiring ICU admission and experiencing IH between 2002 and 2019 at Saint Louis Hospital.

Background & Aims: We aimed to evaluate body composition (BC) by computed tomography (CT) in hematologic malignancy (HM) patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) for sepsis or septic shock.
Methods: We retrospectively assessed BC and its impact on outcome of 186 patients at the 3rd lumbar (L3) and 12th thoracic vertebral levels (T12) using CT-scan performed before ICU admission.
Results: The median patient age was 58.

Here, we used transplantation, parabiosis, plasma transfer, exercise, calorie restriction, and aging mutant mice to understand the effects of age-regulated systemic factors on HSCs and their bone marrow (BM) niche.
