Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to understand how body mass index (BMI) affects the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) in girls with idiopathic central precocious puberty (ICPP) during gonadorelin (GnRH) stimulation testing.
  • - Among 865 girls studied, those of normal weight had significantly higher peak LH levels after GnRH stimulation compared to those who were overweight or obese, showing a clear correlation between BMI and LH response.
  • - The findings suggest that a higher BMI leads to a lower LH response to GnRH in girls with ICPP, indicating that BMI should be a factor to consider when analyzing GnRH stimulation test results.
