Calcipotriol/betamethasone dipropionate aerosol foam for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris: case series and review of the literature.

An aerosol foam formulation of a once-daily, fixed-dose combination of a synthetic vitamin D analog/synthetic corticosteroid (calcipotriol [Cal] 50 µg/g and betamethasone dipropionate [BD] 0.5 mg/g) has recently been introduced for the topical treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults. Data from several sources - randomized controlled trials, case reports (as highlighted in this review), and real-world evidence (RWE) - underscore the considerable and rapid clinical response, effectiveness, and favorable safety and tolerability of Cal/BD aerosol foam in mild-to-moderate psoriatic patients previously treated with class 3 or 4 topical corticosteroids, in patients unsatisfied with ongoing phototherapy in combination with topical therapy and in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis.

Contact allergy in Danish children: Current trends.

Background: Contact allergy is common in children, but may be underdiagnosed. Importantly, the clinical relevance of specific allergies is subject to constant change, and it is therefore important to continuously monitor the trends and changes of contact allergies in the paediatric population.

Objectives: To identify possible changes in contact allergy and allergic contact dermatitis among Danish children referred for patch testing.

Patient-reported outcomes in topical field treatment of actinic keratosis in Swedish and Danish patients.

Topical treatments in dermatology can be long, complex and lead to nonadherence and nonpersistence to prescribed treatment. Clinical efficacy observed in randomized clinical trials (RCT) may therefore be reduced in real-world clinical practice. The objective of this study was to analyze patient-reported treatment adherence, treatment satisfaction and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) with topical treatments of actinic keratosis (AK) in routine clinical practice in Denmark and Sweden.

The Danish Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer Dermatology Database.

Aim Of Database: The Danish Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer Dermatology Database was established in 2008. The aim of this database was to collect data on nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC) treatment and improve its treatment in Denmark. NMSC is the most common malignancy in the western countries and represents a significant challenge in terms of public health management and health care costs.

[Recurrent postoperative cellulitis of the breast].

Differentiation between infectious and non-infectious cellulitis is a frequent clinical issue. Often, there is no proven portal of entry for infection and it is difficult to obtain a positive culture. Two case stories with recurrence of postoperative cellulitis are presented.

Allergic contact dermatitis from ethylhexyl salicylate and other salicylates.

Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) from salicylates present in topical products is uncommon. Most publications about ACD from salicylates are case reports describing only a few patients. Cross-reactivity between salicylates is not commonly reported.
