Parents and patients researching otoplasty often rely on online resources, but the quality and readability of this information are questionable.
A study evaluated the top 60 search results from major search engines using the DISCERN instrument and Flesch-Kincaid readability tests.
Findings showed that the average quality score was low (28.7/80) and the readability levels were higher than what most adults can understand, indicating that the information is often poor and difficult to read.
