Article Synopsis
  • Dual-atom catalysts with nitrogen-coordinated metal sites can enhance oxygen reduction and evolution reactions in rechargeable zinc-air batteries, though their performance is limited by the intermediate binding energies.
  • The study explores how tailored FeCo-N-C catalysts can activate a new mechanism, called the lattice oxygen mechanism, by creating both axial and bridge oxygen at metal centers.
  • These customized catalysts show promising results, achieving a peak power density of 332 mW cm-2 with stable performance over 720 hours of continuous operation.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigates how serum magnesium levels affect the effectiveness and survival outcomes of immune checkpoint blockers (ICBs) in cancer therapy, highlighting the need for more research on this relationship.
  • - In a multi-center analysis of 1,441 cancer patients treated with ICBs, it was found that higher serum magnesium levels (≥ 0.79 mmol/L) correlated with better responses and longer progression-free and overall survival compared to lower levels.
  • - The findings suggest that serum magnesium levels are an independent prognostic factor in cancer patients undergoing ICB therapy, but more prospective studies are necessary to validate these results.

Article Synopsis
  • Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a complex disease that needs tailored treatment based on individual patient characteristics and genetic factors.
  • Researchers focused on metabolic processes and their impact on DLBCL, outlining how metabolism affects the tumor environment and immune cell behavior.
  • By analyzing 1660 genes across various metabolic pathways, they created metabolic clusters (MECs), which showed different survival rates and provided insights for improving DLBCL treatment strategies.

Article Synopsis
  • Primary gastrointestinal follicular lymphoma (PGI-FL) is a rare type of lymphoma with unclear epidemiology and prognosis, studied in a large analysis of patients using the SEER database.
  • The average annual incidence of PGI-FL is low, but patients with PGI-FL have a longer median overall survival compared to those with nodal follicular lymphoma (N-FL) and a lower risk of transformation to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
  • Predictive nomograms were created to help estimate patient survival and classify patients into three risk groups for better treatment planning and personalized care.

Background: According to the Maastricht VI/Florence consensus report, potassium-competitive acid blockers (P-CAB) may improve Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment.

Materials And Methods: A total of 213 H. pylori treatment-naive patients aged between 18 and 70 years were treated with two regimens.

Follicular lymphoma (FL), the most common indolent lymphoma, is a clinically and genetically heterogeneous disease. However, the prognostic value of driver gene mutations and copy number alterations has not been systematically assessed. Here, we analysed the clinical-biological features of 415 FL patients to identify variables associated with disease progression within 24 months of first-line therapy (POD24).

Progression of disease within 24 months (POD24) is strongly associated with a poor outcome in patients with follicular lymphoma (FL). Our study aimed to identify the potential risk factors for POD24 in patients with FL. Medline, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library were systematically searched from the earliest record to September 2020.

The role of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification in tumor microenvironment has rarely been explored in follicular lymphoma (FL). To examine the role of m6A modification in biological behavior, especially the immune landscape of FL, we utilized the Gene Expression Omnibus database to determine the expression signatures of m6A-regulators by unsupervised clustering, and then condense into a risk score, which was validated in an external cohort from the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital. Finally, 16 m6A-regulators in 351 FL patients were evaluated and two m6A clusters were identified, characterized by differences in prognosis and biological behaviors.

Background: Targeting the PD-1/PD-L1/L2 (programmed cell death protein 1/programmed cell death ligand 1/ligand 2) pathway combined with other immunosuppressive signalings, such as CD73/A2aR (A2a adenosine receptor) adenosine signaling, has emerged as a promising strategy for cancer treatment. The genetic characteristics of these immune checkpoints need to be further investigated in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

Methods: We performed whole-exome sequencing/targeted deep sequencing to investigate the genetic characteristics of PD-1/PD-L1/L2 and CD73/A2aR.

It is an effective strategy to develop novel electrocatalysts with controllable defects to enhance their electrocatalytic activity and stability. However, how to precisely design these catalysts on the atom scale remains very difficult. Herein, several vacancy-dependent CoZn Mn O catalysts are prepared through tailoring the concentration of Zn ions.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a highly heterogenous malignancy, early identification of patients for relapse remains challenging. The potential to non-invasively monitor tumour evolutionary dynamics of DLBCL needs to be further established. In the present study, 17 tumour biopsy and 38 plasma samples from 38 patients with high-intermediate/high-risk DLBCL were evaluated at baseline.

Developing electrode materials with high specific capacitance and excellent stability for energy storage is necessary to solve energy shortage issues. In this work, we prepare ZnCo2O4@CoMoO4 core-shell structures on nickel foam by a simple hydrothermal approach. The as-synthesized products show excellent electrochemical performances.
