Objective: To evaluate early and long term anamnestic response to a booster dose of HBV vaccine among non-seroprotected children.
Subjects And Method: A national community based project was carried out on 3600 children aged 9 months to 16 years, fully vaccinated during infancy. They were recruited from 6 governorates representing Egypt.
Objective: Successful resection of dumbbell-shaped trigeminal schwannomas via a subtemporal interdural approach requires an understanding of both the anatomy related to the bone dissection of the petrous apex (Kawase's triangle or quadrilateral) and meningeal anatomy. We studied the meningeal anatomy related to this approach and describe the dural incisions and stepwise mobilization.
Methods: Meningeal anatomy around Meckel's cave and porus trigeminus was examined during the subtemporal interdural anterior transpetrosal approach in both sides of 15 cadaveric heads.
Objective: Several studies have reported on approaches to increase exposure of the distal cervical internal carotid artery (ICA), but these studies have neither systematically addressed the anatomic aspects nor quantified the additional exposure of each maneuver. We describe surgical steps to expose the ICA region, quantify the additional exposure of each operative step, and discuss ways to minimize surgical morbidity.
Methods: The ICA was exposed in 10 formalin-fixed cadaveric heads using the following four steps: 1) anterior sternocleidomastoid approach, 2) retroparotid dissection and division of the digastric muscle, 3) section of the styloid apparatus, and 4) mandibulotomy.
Among 39 fungal species and one variety belonging to 16 genera isolated from 116 healthy tomato fruits collected from markets in Assiut, Egypt, during 1994, Aspergillus niger was found to be the most prevalent, being isolated from 84.6% of the samples. Of 11 species recovered from 156 diseased tomatoes, Alternaria alternata, Rhizopus stolonifer and A.

Twenty nurses who constantly handled these drugs and 20 controls, matched according to age and sex, were examined. Metaphase chromosomes were studied.

Of which 2 were from Alestes nurse; 3 from Bagrus docmac; 4 from Barbus bynni; 6 from Chrysichthys auratus; 4 from Lates niloticus and 1 from Malapterurus electricus. Forty-three fungal species in addition to 1 variety appertaining to fifteen genera were recovered from skin (15 genera and 34 species + 1 variety); gills, kidney (12 genera and 30 species + 1 variety, each); liver (11 genera and 30 species + 1 variety) and intestine (13 genera and 30 species + 1 variety) of all specimens, using glucose Czapek-Dox medium at 28 degrees C.
