Background: Metabolic tumor volume (MTV) and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) are volumetric parameters derived from F-FDG PET/CT, suggested to have a prognostic value in cancer patients. Our study aimed to test whether these volumetric parameters of the primary tumor and whole-body tumor burden (WBTB) can predict overall survival (OS) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.

Materials And Methods: Thirty biopsy-proven NSCLC patients who had not begun anti-tumor therapy were included in this prospective study.

The opposing effect of the blood-brain barrier against the delivery of most drugs warrants the need for an efficient brain targeted drug delivery system for the successful management of neurological disorders. Temazepam-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) have shown possibilities for enhancing bioavailability and brain targeting affinity after oral administration. This study aimed to investigate these properties for insomnia treatment.
