The interaction of unfractionated heparin (UFH) with universal heparin reversal agent 7 (UHRA-7) is investigated. UHRA-7 is composed of a hyperbranched polyglycerol core onto which an array of methylated tris(2-aminoethylamine) (Me-TREN) charged groups is grafted, which in turn are shielded with a layer of small chain poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether (mPEG) chains. This system has previously been shown to be biocompatible and to be effective at neutralizing heparin.

Wastewater from textile industries is a potential source of organic dyes in natural water bodies. Environmental concerns of chemical methods for removal of dyes from wastewater are no more a viable solution, and there is growing concern to develop alternative approaches such as green chemistry and phytoremediation. This study reports the removal of organic dyes from wastewater using Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.

Design: This study utilized quantitative flow cytometry to determine whether the expression of surface adhesion molecules: CD18, CD11a, CD11b, and CD11c on cord blood neutrophils using mean channel fluorescence values (MCF). A total of 20 infants of pre-eclamptic women were compared with a control group of 19 infants of normotensive women.
