This research aims to understand the extent of microplastic contamination in Pekalongan waters, Central Java, and its potential impact on fishing grounds, aligning with Indonesia's National Action Plan for Handling Marine Debris 2018-2025. The study employs a 2D hydrodynamics modelling approach with Mike 21 Software to map the spatial distribution of microplastic movement concerning fishing areas during the west and east monsoon seasons. The results showed that microplastic particles follow tidal currents in Pekalongan waters, with their movement influenced by factors such as current, wind, and tidal conditions.

Deep eutectic solvents (DES) are a generation of ionic liquids that benefit from low cost, good stability, and environmental-friendly features. In this research, a porous silica gel was impregnated with a eutectic Choline Chloride-Monoethanolamine solvent (ChCl-MEA) to greatly improve its CO capture performance. In the impregnation, the weight percentages of ChCl-MEA were used in the range of 10-60 wt% at a temperature of 25 °C.

Crystal methamphetamine and its effects on mental and oral health: A narrative review.

The purpose of this comprehensive literature review is to present the available evidence on the effects of methamphetamine on mental and oral health, as well as provide an overview of the most widely used medical and dental care strategies in the management of meth mouth. For this purpose, PubMed and Google Scholar electronic databases were searched for relevant articles, yielding 115 search results, which were further scrutinized for their relevance, leaving 55 for a detailed review. The analysis of the gathered data indicates that a comprehensive patient-centered approach that takes into consideration the physical, mental, and social aspects is crucial for mitigating the detrimental effects of increasing methamphetamine use.

This study aimed to elucidate the life forms and adaptive capacity of the coral reefs ecosystem in the Tanjung Tiram waters, as one of the potential tourist places in Southeast Sulawesi. <b>Materials and Methods:</b> Observation of the life form and adaptive capacity of coral reefs was carried out using the LIT (line intercept transect) method.

Exploring geomasking methods for geoprivacy: a pilot study in an environment with built features.

This study discusses the ethical use of geographical information systems (GIS) data with a focus on geomasking for upholding locational privacy. As part of a pilot study in Jeddah City, Saudi Arabia, we used open-source geomasking methods to ensure geoprivacy while examining built environment features that determine the quality of life among individuals with type-II diabetes. We employed the open-source algorithms Maskmy.

This study aimed to synthesize the biodiesel from Mastic oil by electrolysis method. Mastic gum is a potential and inexpensive feedstock for the biodiesel production. The oil content of Mastic gum was ~ 20% of the total gum weight.

Background: The aim was to identify the restorative dentist, knowledge and application of Antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) in dental practice; and to provide an overview of the potential challenges faced by restorative dentists (RD) in Saudi Arabia.

Methods: A 15-item cross sectional study questionnaire was distributed through online portal to assess the knowledge, and practice of RD towards aPDT and its practice. The questionnaire consisted of 3 sections, exploring the demographics of participants, knowledge, application and perception of aPDT using yes/no response and Likert scale.

Participants from 20 wards for adult patients from public and private hospitals in Indonesia were recruited. The Fear of COVID-19 Scale, Job Stress Scale, and Perceived Social Support Questionnaire were used to measure outcomes of interest.

Background: Despite the interdependence of general and periodontal health, there is paucity of national representative data on the prevalence of periodontal diseases and their associated risk factors in Egyptian population. This cross-sectional study, thus, aimed to assess the prevalence of periodontitis and tooth loss among Egyptian adults and investigate the association between potential risk factors and periodontal diseases.

Methods: A total of 5,954 adults aged ≥ 20 years were included in this study as a subsample from Egypt's national oral health survey.

Purpose: This study investigates the micro shear bond strength of resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) bonded to hypoplastic teeth after the application of chlorhexidine (CHX), sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), Er;Cr:YSGG and methylene blue mediated antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (APDT).

Methods: A total sample of 60 erupted and extracted hypoplastic teeth collected from < 16 years children were subjected to different conditioning protocols including control group that involved bonding of hypoplastic teeth with RMGIC; CHX and NaOCl groups that included hypoplastic enamel being treated with 0.2% CHX and 2% NaOCl solution for 30 s followed by rinsing and drying for 5 s, MB-PDT group involved methylene blue photosensitizer and Er,Cr:YSGG group.
