This study investigated how the death of the mother affected four Danish families. In-depth interviews were undertaken with both children ( = 7, 7-19 years) and fathers ( = 4, average age: 46 years) within the same families. The results presented in this article focus on the experiences of the fathers.

Defining the prevalence of PGD will have important nosological, clinical, and therapeutic implications. The present systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to estimate the prevalence rate of PGD in the adult bereaved population, identify possible moderators, and explore methodological quality of studies in this area.
