Incidences of hydatidiform mole (HM) registered in European countries varies from 0.98/1000 to 2.17/1000 deliveries, while higher incidences have been reported in other parts of the world.

Materials And Methods: This is a prospective clinical trial. A total of 81 BPPV patients who were referred to the tertiary Balance - Dizziness Centre at the Department of Otolaryngology, Head - Neck Surgery and Audiology, Aalborg University Hospital, Denmark were included and analyzed.
Purpose: To investigate outcomes of routine vision screening compared to as-indicated ophthalmological investigation of all children born preterm in a Danish region from 1997 to 2014.
Methods: All children born preterm (gestation age < 32 weeks or birthweight < 1500 g) screened for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) were divided into two groups. From 1997 to 2009, only children treated for ROP or referred for visual problems received ophthalmological investigation (as-indicated group).
Purpose: To assess whether health-related quality of life (HRQOL) status, using the European Quality of life-5 dimensions (EQ5D), in acutely admitted older medical patients was associated with a combined end-point including first unplanned readmission or death without prior readmission within 6 months. Secondly, to assess if HRQOL was associated with death regardless of previous readmissions.
Methods: Patients from seven medical and two acute medical units were included and the EQ5D was obtained at discharge.
Background: Global dietary recommendations for and cardiovascular effects of linoleic acid, the major dietary omega-6 fatty acid, and its major metabolite, arachidonic acid, remain controversial. To address this uncertainty and inform international recommendations, we evaluated how in vivo circulating and tissue levels of linoleic acid (LA) and arachidonic acid (AA) relate to incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) across multiple international studies.
Methods: We performed harmonized, de novo, individual-level analyses in a global consortium of 30 prospective observational studies from 13 countries.
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is associated with inferior survival in cancer patients. The risk of VTE and its effect on survival in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients remains unclear. The present study investigated the impact of patient-related factors, CLL prognostic markers, and CLL treatment on the risk of VTE and assessed overall survival relative to VTE.

Patients And Methods: We selected women registered with a first-time HM code in NPR, DCR, and DPR from 1999 to 2009. We found most women registered in DPR.
Background: The risk of coronary heart disease associated with intake of individual trans fatty acids (TFAs) is not clear. Adipose tissue content of TFAs is a biomarker of TFA intake and metabolism.
Objective: We investigated the rate of myocardial infarction (MI) associated with the adipose tissue content of total 18:1t, isomers of 18:1t (18:1 Δ6-10t and 18:1 Δ11t) and 18:2 Δ9c, 11t.
Objective: To assess whether frailty in acutely admitted older medical patients, assessed by a self-report questionnaire and evaluation of functional level at discharge, was associated with readmission or death within 6 months after discharge. A second objective was to assess the predictive performance of models including frailty, functional level, and known risk factors.
Methods: A cohort study including acutely admitted older patients 65+ from seven medical and two acute medical units.
Background And Aim: In subjects without kidney disease, adiponectin appears to have anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-atherogenic effects. n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) from seafood have several beneficial effects in patients with endstage renal disease (ESRD) and the aim of the present study was to assess the effect of n-3 PUFA supplementation on plasma adiponectin levels in ESRD patients.
Methods: In a double blinded intervention trial, 162 ESRD patients (mean age 67 years  ± 13, 56 women and 106 men) undergoing chronic hemodialysis were randomized to 1.
