Dietary inflammatory index (DII) was demonstrated to be correlated to quality of life (QoL) in people with osteoarthritis (OA), but there is lack of an exploration of the relationship between the longitudinal trajectories of QoL and DII in OA people. This study aims to investigate the relationship between DII and longitudinal trajectories of QoL, and the moderating effect of physical activity on this relationship in OA people. Data from the Osteoarthritis Initiative database includes baseline measurements and follow-up data at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8-year intervals for the 12-item Short-Form Health Outcome Survey questionnaire (physical and mental dimensions) and baseline sociodemographic characteristics utilized in this study.

During economic development, conflicts between urban populations, resources, and the environment have become increasingly prominent. Although China's efforts in building ecological livability have made certain achievements, they are still in the early stages, making research in this area very necessary.

In this study, we reconstructed a 651-year (1370-2020 CE) warm-season (March-September) temperature record using the tree-ring maximum latewood density (MXD) of blue pine (Pinus wallichiana). The reconstruction explains 57 % of the variance in actual temperature during the common calibration period (1972-2020 CE).

Investigation of the divergence problem is crucial to improve our understanding of the response patterns of trees to climate warming, and provide a scientific basis for accurate climate reconstruction. Based on tree-ring width data for Siberian larch (Larix sibirica Ledeb.

As an appendage of the skin, hair protects against ultraviolet radiation and mechanical damage and regulates body temperature. It also reflects an individual's health status and serves as an important method of expressing personality. Hair loss and graying are significant psychosocial burdens for many people.

Literature searches were conducted on Pubmed, CINAHL, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and the Wanfang Database up to January 2024. The methodological quality of the included reviews was assessed using the quality assessment tool from the Australian JBI Center for Evidence-Based Healthcare (2016).

With complex working characteristics, female nurses had been found with high risk of NAFLD. To develop and validate a prediction model to predict the prevalence of NAFLD based on demographic characteristics, work situation, daily lifestyle and laboratory tests in female nurses.

Long-term studies targeting the relevancy of nurses' occupation characteristics with health conditions remain insufficient. This study aimed to examine the relationship between nurses' night shift and sleep problems and metabolic abnormalities risk.

Current assays have various limitations, such as being in vitro only, not sensitive enough, or unquantifiable. We took advantage of the bilateral symmetry and large size of mouse whisker follicles to develop a novel in vivo assay called "whisker follicle microinjection assay".

It has been reported that Agouti mRNA is confined to the dermal papilla after birth in various mammalian species. In this study, we created and characterized a knockin mouse strain in which Cre recombinase was expressed in-frame with endogenous Agouti coding sequence.

Cyclophosphamide is a commonly used anticancer drug, and immunosuppression is one of the most common side effects. How to recover the immunological function is important for cyclophosphamide-treated patients. In the present study, Phellodendri Cortex polysaccharides (CPP) could enhance the proliferation of mouse spleen lymphocytes in vitro.

Due to the short-term observation record of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), the research on long-term NDVI changes is scarce, which limits our understanding of the impacts of NDVI changes in the context of global warming. In this study, a regional tree-ring chronology was developed based on the tree-ring samples of in the middle Qinling Mountains. The results showed that tree-ring width of was significantly positively correlated with May-July NDVI (=0.

Due to the intense emotional involvement and often problematic working conditions that characterise their profession, nurses appear to be especially susceptible to a complex set of stressors with repercussions to their health. Several landmark studies of nurses have provided an abundance of evidence on risk factors that influence the health status of nurses.

Objective: To evaluate the reliability, validity, responsiveness, importance, and application level of the Core Nursing Outcomes Evaluation System for inpatients with stroke.
Methods: The reliability, validity, responsiveness, importance, and application level were evaluated by expert scoring, clinical measurement, and questionnaire survey.
Results: The scale-level content validity index (S-CVI) and item-level content validity index (I-CVI) were >0.
Background: I-125 seed implantation has been widely applied in the local treatment of advanced malignant tumor. It has the advantages of providing a high dose of treatment to the target sites and low dose to normal tissues. It has been mostly applied as palliative treatment for recurrences in advanced malignant tumor (except for prostate cancer), suppressing tumor development and improving the quality of life of patients.
