Brugada syndrome is a genetic cardiac disease associated with increased risk of ventricular tachyarrhythmia and sudden cardiac arrest. Labor and delivery in this population poses management challenges of labor induction, analgesia, postpartum hemorrhage, and arrhythmic events. This case report describes a multidisciplinary approach to intrapartum management in maternal Brugada syndrome.

Data include primary operation details, follow-up imaging, and reoperation details.
Results: Four hundred and twenty-six females were included in our cohort, with a median age of 15 years at the time of the primary operation.
Study Objective: To evaluate failure of initial operative therapy (incomplete tumor removal) of ovarian-sparing surgery for pediatric benign ovarian neoplasms.
Methods: A retrospective review of patients up to 21 years of age who underwent ovarian-sparing surgery for a benign ovarian neoplasm from 2010 to 2016 at 8 pediatric hospitals was conducted. Failure of initial operative therapy is defined as a radiologically suspected or pathologically confirmed ipsilateral lesion with the same pathology as the primary neoplasm within 12 weeks of the initial operation.

Study Objective: To assess postoperative management of pediatric patients with benign ovarian neoplasms, to develop recommendations for postoperative care.
Design: A retrospective cohort study.
Setting: Eight pediatric hospitals in the midwestern United States.
Purpose: To assess whether preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A) at the blastocyst stage improves clinical outcomes compared with transfer of embryos without PGT-A in poor ovarian response (POR) patients.
Methods: Retrospective cohort study of IVF cycles from 2016 to 2019 at a single academic fertility center. IVF cycles with POR and four or fewer oocytes retrieved were stratified into PGT-A (n = 241) and non-PGT (n = 112) groups.
Objective: Transoral surgery (TOS) for oropharyngeal carcinoma (OPC) is steadily becoming more routine. Expected posttreatment swallow function is a critical consideration for preoperative counseling. The objective of this study was to identify predictors of swallow dysfunction following TOS for advanced tumor (T)-stage (T3-T4) OPC.

We previously demonstrated that endochondral cartilage grafts that were derived from human osteoarthritic (OA) articular cartilage can be used as a bone graft in mouse models. We hypothesized that OA cartilage could also be recycled and repurposed as a bone graft substitute in a posterolateral lumbar spinal fusion model in athymic rats.

Importance: The tinnitus research literature suggests that N-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonists may be useful in reducing tinnitus. Nitrous oxide, a member of the NMDA receptor antagonist class, is a widely used general anesthetic and sedative with a proven safety record.
Objective: To investigate whether nitrous oxide can reduce bothersome tinnitus.

Importance: Effect sizes and confidence intervals (CIs) are critical for the interpretation of the results for any outcome of interest.
Objective: To evaluate the frequency of reporting effect sizes and CIs in the results of analytical studies.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Descriptive review of analytical studies published from January 2012 to December 2015 in JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
Aim: This paper is a report of a study of the relations of coaching and developing clinical practice on nurses' work place attitudes and self-reported performance, as mediated by role breadth self-efficacy and flexible role orientation.
Background: Previous research into the effectiveness of nurses' learning and development activities has mainly focused on specific skill and knowledge acquisition outcomes. Few studies investigate the relationship between learning and development activities and work attitudes or performance, or explore mediating mechanisms in this process.
