Objectives: To assess variations by time of year and hospital in the uptake of influenza and pertussis vaccinations by pregnant women in Victoria; to identify factors associated with vaccination uptake.

Design, Setting: Retrospective analysis of data in the Victorian Perinatal Data Collection (VPDC), a population surveillance system for obstetric conditions, procedures, and pregnancy and birth outcomes.

Participants: Women whose pregnancies ended in a live or stillbirth during July 2015 - June 2017.

Aim: Preterm infants are at increased risk of vaccine preventable diseases. An audit in 2007 identified suboptimal immunisation status of preterm infants. In November 2006, the Australian Government announced the National HPV Vaccination Program, consisting of a course of prophylactic human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine for all Australian females aged 12-26 years. Females aged 12-18 years are vaccinated through school-based programs. The school-based component commenced in April 2007, with the school years targeted varying across jurisdictions.

Objective: To assess influenza vaccine uptake among health care workers in Victorian public hospitals in 2005.

Design, Setting And Participants: Infection control staff in all Victorian public hospitals were asked to collect standardised data on numbers of non-casual staff and vaccinations administered to these staff during the 2005 vaccination period.

Main Outcome Measures: Proportion of total non-casual staff vaccinated; proportion of non-casual staff vaccinated in various staff categories.
