The use of volatile gases for food safety detection has proven highly effective, with composite gas sensors that leverage the two-dimensional material MXene exhibiting notable advancements in detecting various target gases. This paper reviews the progress of MXene-based composite gas sensors in the detection of food safety-related gases.
