We examine the import of a Comparative Health Care Immersion Program in South Korea to prepare entry-level Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) students studying to become clinical nurse leaders (CNLs) who can dynamically engage the complex issues facing health systems in the United States (U.S.).

Gender-Based Experiences of Verbal Bullying in Adolescents: Application of Giorgi's Method.

Verbal bullying among adolescents, which has become increasingly prevalent in recent years, often involves swearing or sexually ridiculing one's family members or peers. Because many factors underlying the initiation of verbal bullying remain unknown, Giorgi's phenomenological method was used to examine the essence and meaning of verbal bullying among adolescents, which is an urgent issue in the field of nursing in South Korea. In this descriptive phenomenological study, researchers examined the behavior of 16 adolescents.

Korean Nursing Students' Acquisition of Evidence-Based Practice and Critical Thinking Skills.

Background: Evidence-based practice (EBP) is essential for enhancing nurses' quality of care. We identified Korean nursing students' practices, attitudes, and knowledge concerning EBP, as well as their critical thinking disposition (CTD).

Method: The EBP Questionnaire (EBPQ) was administered to a convenience sample of 266 nursing students recruited from four nursing schools in Seoul and its metropolitan area.

Factors influencing professionalism in nursing among Korean American registered nurses.

Although significant numbers of foreign nurses are currently employed in the United States, little research about nursing professionalism exists for this population. The study assessed the levels of professionalism and examined factors associated with professionalism among Korean American registered nurses (RNs). Hall's Professionalism Inventory (HPI) scale was used for this correlational descriptive study.
