Objective: We aimed to determine predictors of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) failure and validate a nomogram to identify patients at risk of NIV failure.
Design: Observational, analytical study of a retrospective cohort from a single center, compared with an external cohort (March 2020 to August 2021).
Setting: Two intensive care units (ICUs).

Aims: To estimate if chronic anticoagulant (CAC) treatment is associated with morbidity and mortality outcomes of patients hospitalized for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Methods: In this European multicentric cohort study, we included 1186 patients of whom 144 were on CAC (12.1%) with positive coronavirus disease 2019 testing between 1 February and 30 July 2020.
Low-back pain has a high impact on the world population, and solutions are in demand. The behavior of specific physiological processes has been modified using magnetic fields, whether for pain relief, bone consolidation, or improvement of vascularization. The use of tape with magnetic properties could help in these cases.

Case Presentation: A 22 years old female with a 10 years history of surgery secondary to gastric foreign body (trichobezoar), presents with abdominal pain, swelling, nausea and vomiting.
Context: Acute pancreatitis is the most common complication in ERCP, and some risk factors were associated with the development of hyperamylasemia and post-ERCP pancreatitis.
Objectives: identifying new factors associated with the development of hyperamylasemia or post-ERCP pancreatitis in patients attended at our center.
Material And Methods: A (retrospective) cohort study was carried out in 170 patients on which a diagnostic-therapeutic ERCP was done due to biliopancreatic disease.
We are presenting an case of a patient with upper gastrointestinal bleeding presented as hematemesis preceded by profuse vomiting secondary to a duodenal obstruction, caused by an impacted giant biliary stone in the duodenal bulb (Bouveret syndrome). The diagnosis was made during an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and confirmed by surgery. We report and discuss this case as it is the first presentation in our institution.

It was examined using dye-injection endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, and the duct course and shape were studied in patients having chronic pancreatitis and were compared to patients with normal pancreatogram.
